Because a trained professional is able to visit your home, take a look at what is to be moved and the access for both the truck and your belongings- there is more information in the move plan and there are less surprises on move day which equals a more accurate quote and a better move experience. Sure, taking the time out to meet with the move consultant in home can take a little figuring out but most moving companies have wide availability to accommodate busy family’s schedules. If your home is more than a 2 bedroom, your move is more than 3 weeks away, if you need any help packing, if you’re moving any specialty items like a pool table, safe, exercise equipment, pianos, fine art/ crystal, adjustable bed, etc OR- if you haven’t moved with a moving company before/ in a while – please invest the effort to get an In Home Estimate- your move experience will reflect that investment!

Most families are also best advised to get an In Home estimate prior to making their reservation. Moving is complicated- if it weren’t- moving companies wouldn’t exist!
