Move For Hunger

Move For Hunger is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2009 to reduce food waste and fight hunger by mobilizing transportation networks. Stewart Moving and Storage proudly supports this mission and has helped deliver more than 70,000 meals to local families in need. Move For Hunger partners with moving companies, relocation professionals, and logistics organizations to collect surplus, unopened food and deliver it directly to community food banks. This simple but powerful approach prevents unnecessary waste and ensures more families have access to nutritious meals. Through partnerships, education, and volunteer engagement, Move For Hunger continues to strengthen food security efforts and empower communities across the country.

Since 1986, Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity has partnered with families and individuals to build more than 390 homes throughout Richmond, Henrico County, and Chesterfield County.
